Nissan Leaf 2018-2025 (ZE1) Owner's Manual : Warning information displays (models with a navigation system)

Low battery warning

When the low battery charge indicator Low Li-ion battery charge indicator light and the master warning light (yellow) Master warning indicator light illuminate, the Nissan Leaf navigation system automatically triggers an alert on the display screen to notify the driver that the high-voltage Li-ion battery power level has dropped significantly.

1. This notification appears prominently on the upper left side of the vehicle STATUS screen. Simply touch the [Show] button to open a detailed information interface regarding your remaining energy reserves.

2. Once accessed, the system presents a comprehensive message screen and provides an audible notification to clearly warn you of the low battery state. Take a moment to review the status details provided on the display.

You may touch [YES] at this prompt to have the navigation system automatically search for and map nearby charging stations located within your current estimated driving range.

3. Touch the return icon Return to previous screen icon or press the physical MAP button on the console to exit the alert and return to your primary navigation map view.

NOTE:

  • The automatic low battery warning alerts can be adjusted or toggled off via the system settings. For detailed configuration instructions, please refer to your specific NissanConnect Manual.
  • When the Li-ion battery reaches a low charge threshold, the Nissan Leaf system will proactively attempt to retrieve up-to-date information on nearby compatible charging stations to assist you.
