Green exterior light indicator icon Exterior light indicator light (green)

This indicator activates to confirm that the exterior lighting system is engaged. It illuminates when the headlight switch is moved to the AUTO, Parking light symbol or Headlight symbol position, signaling that the front parking lights, side marker lights, tail lights, and license plate illumination are active. The indicator will automatically extinguish when these lighting functions are deactivated, helping you monitor the lighting status of your Nissan Leaf.

The front fog light indicator illuminates clearly on your instrument cluster whenever the front fog lights are active, providing visual confirmation that your Nissan Leaf is utilizing enhanced visibility lighting.

Green High Beam Assist indicator icon High Beam Assist indicator light (green)

This indicator notifies you that the High Beam Assist system is operational. It illuminates when the headlights are active, the switch is in the AUTO position, and the high beam function has been selected by the system. It demonstrates the sophisticated automated lighting capabilities integrated into your Nissan Leaf.

Blue high beam headlight indicator icon High beam indicator light (blue)

This blue indicator light illuminates to show that the high beam headlights are currently engaged. It will turn off automatically when you switch back to the low beam setting.

Green plug-in charging indicator icon Plug-in indicator light (green)

This light illuminates when the charging connector is successfully seated in the vehicle's charge port. It blinks steadily during the charging process to indicate that your Nissan Leaf is actively drawing energy.

Please note: When the charge connector is physically attached to the vehicle, the power switch is disabled and cannot be placed into the "READY to drive" position for safety reasons.

The "READY to drive" indicator is your confirmation that the electric propulsion system is energized and the Nissan Leaf is prepared to be driven.

This indicator will turn off if the following conditions occur:

  • An internal EV system malfunction is detected.
  • The charge level of the Li-ion battery is nearing total depletion. If the battery becomes completely discharged, the vehicle must be recharged before it can be operated again.
