Nissan Leaf 2018-2025 (ZE1) Owner's Manual : Power outlet
CAUTION
- The 12-volt power outlet and the plug of the connected accessory may become hot during or immediately after use. Always handle them with care to avoid minor burns.
- Do not use this outlet with electrical accessories that exceed a 12-volt, 120W (10A) power draw, as this can overload the electrical circuit.
- Do not use double adapters or connect more than one electrical accessory to this single power socket simultaneously.
- Always operate your electronic devices with the Nissan Leaf power switch placed in the ON or READY to Drive position to avoid draining the auxiliary 12-volt battery.
- Avoid using the power outlet when heavy electrical loads like the air conditioner, high-beam headlights, or rear window defroster are turned on.
- Push the accessory plug in as far as it will go to ensure a secure connection. If good electrical contact is not made, the plug may overheat or the internal temperature fuse may open, disabling the outlet.
- Before inserting or disconnecting any plug, make sure that the specific electrical accessory being used is turned completely OFF.
- When the outlet is not in active use, be sure to close the protective cap securely. Do not allow water, spilled beverages, or any moisture to come into contact with the inner outlet contacts.
