Preparing the engine to be on the stand
Before the engine is mounted on the engine sub-attachment, the engine's electrical harness must be removed and the engine oil drained.
1. Remove the multifunction support.
2. Remove the coolant inlet pipe on the water pump.
3. Place the rods (A), (X), (Y) on the cylinder block.

1.CHECK GROUND CONNECTIONS
1. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 20 seconds.
2. Check ground connection E38. Refer to Ground inspection in GI-44, "Circuit
Inspection".
