Inspection
• Place a thread so that it is caught in the valves of the thermostat.
Immerse fully in a container filled with water. Heat while stirring.
(The example in the figure shows the thermostat.) • The valve opening temperature is the temperature at which the valve opens and falls from the thread.
• Continue heating. Check the full-open lift amount.
• After checking the full-open lift amount, lower the water temperature and check the valve closing temperature.
• If the measured value is out of the standard value or unusual valve seating condition is found, replace water inlet and thermostat assembly.

Component Function Check
1.CHECK REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR OVERALL FUNCTION
1. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
2. Turn A/C switch and blower fan switch ON.
3. Check the voltage between ECM harness connector and ground.
